Cross Purposes
You once heard the murmur of a lonely soul, she said,
Unheard, inaudible, melancholy to the core,
And then there were smiles and there was light,
For a while, But it was not to be,
Our tale now dwells on the mundane, we laugh no more,
the world embraces us both vice like, too tight,
Our tale breathes no more,
And yet we persist, feeding on the cadaver, carrion like,
Does this serve a purpose still?
Why persist with a fallacy?
Ah my dear don't you see,
So clear the etchings be,
You and I can no longer be,
For, We operate at cross purposes....
