Calypso

Calypso*
I hear the ebb and fall of the tides, he said,
The swirl of the waves, has me in a trance,
The songs of the sea beckon,
It is as if the Sirens sing...
I know, she said, that the rhythms that so entrance,
Lie within,
That the waves speak In your tongue ,
They tell tales of enchanted groves alien to me,
That the stars light up your path,
Through the riddle of the oceans,
I see in the distance the ships that await,
to take you tither,
Away from me ...
