This was written on a whimsy, expressed by Vivek Dahiphale, that we write a gazal in the English language! he also suggested the 'ine' ending, as well as Einstein and Frankenstein!!!
it has the format and addresses the typical subject matter of a gazal, but the language gives it its oddity...

 mine and thine

What worth is this life of mine,
If it were not intertwined with thine.

Love , they say is pleasure divine,
Flower and fruit, the essence of wine.

I will agree that love this life of mine define,
If you grant that  it be the essence of thine.

Dusk is the colour of amber and burgundy wine,
Reminiscent of love and hope and joys divine.

hidden in the yellowing Autumn of the twine,
waits the green of the Spring, its melody fine.

but this be not our tale, yours and mine,
it’s the story of how they did paradise find.

the winds sing a tale of love lost and unleashed rapine,
of a maiden fair and a gallant from far  exotic climes.

the joy of love they sought but were with time,
cleft asunder with questions of mine and thine.

forsaken, forlorn, solitary,she doth pine,
in the arid lands beyond the Cicelpine.

And this I ask myself  many a time,
Does misery shadow love all the time?

for  perception be the truth often times,
twilight brings realization to this heart of mine.

Deep in the shadowy recesses of the mind,
hidden, lies the answer to every query of mine.

life is Subject to the laws of Einstein,
force, momentum, motion, time!

and all the questions that plague life by daytime,
comes the night and they become Frankenstein!
